Description
Service your own Tesla or diagnose intermittent issues that your service center can’t resolve. This cable enables you to connect to the Model S or Model X service port, giving you access to maintenance features such as firmware redeployment (useful when swapping most parts), reading and clearing DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes), running Autopilot camera and radar calibration, and reading thermal statistics on the drivetrain, charger, and A/C system (including drain and fill procedures). Additionally, it allows for airbag configuration and body control settings. All these functions and more are accessible using this cable in conjunction with the Tesla Toolbox app.
To use this cable, you will need an active account on service.teslamotors.com, where you can also download the Toolbox software (compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 10). The subscription costs 150€ per day, up to 3800€ per year (subscription not included with the cable).
This part is a fully tested and compatible alternative to Tesla Part #1013230-00-A, which Tesla lists for over $65 and often has on backorder. This setup is completely removable and does not modify or damage the vehicle in any way. The product includes detailed instructions on how to access the service port.
Note: The Toolbox may not work with salvage cars. While the cable is compatible, the token authentication used between the car and the Toolbox app can make it challenging to service cars that Tesla has deemed “un-fixable” and remotely disabled.
Designed, assembled, tested, and shipped in the USA.
