Repair operation steps
1- We expect that your Drive Unit is removed from car and ready for bench troubleshooting. First step is to remove HV cable from Drive Inverter. Remove orange cap and remove 13mm screws hold HV cable.
2- Using a digital multi-meter (DMM), perform the following diode voltage drop test with the high voltage cables removed:
Place DMM in "Diode-Mode"
Place the positive lead of the DMM on the
HV negative input on the DU.
Place the negative lead of the DMM on the
HV positive input on the DU.
-If the voltage reading is less than the specifications, 0.45 - 0.7 DC then diagnose and replace the drive unit phase board.
