EVC EXPLORER – Seabob User manual

Advanced diagnostic interface for Cayago Seabob electric underwater scooters.
Developed and field-tested by EV Clinic, the EVC Explorer for Seabob enables full CAN-BUS communication with the Seabob Battery Management System (BMS), offering powerful insights and real-time monitoring of the entire battery system.

 System Requirements:

Tool is has its own 4 cable for Seabob charge port and direct connection to the battery, which must be disconnected from inverter previously in case you use direct connection. This EVC Explorer HW pinout. Our CANBUS is PT can.

When you receive tool with delivery, send us notification and we will provide you download link. After that proceed with other steps.

When you receive your tool for the first time, make EVC folder on desktop and copy paste .exe file which you receive from us thru download link.

Then run software and new window will pop up.

USING YOUR KEYBOARD, Press CTRL+C to copy the content and open your email and press PASTE and send us Machine ID to our email showed in the window. After that we will send you regkey.dat license file for your PC to be able to run the software. SO DONT SEND ME SCREENSHOT OF THAT WINDOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you send us ID xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx we will create regkey.dat file which you will download and place into same folder where EVC exe is, like shown in picture.

Here you can check how to use software for the first time. SOFTWARE DOESNT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET.
Left side of LIVE data is enabled via radio button ENABLE LIVE DATA, same for the right side of the tab.

Cable to connect to charge port and wakeup seabob with 50V adapter (if Seabob is already booting using 2 buttons, 50V adapter is not needed to be connected). Dispaly must be turned on during diagnostics.

This is direct connection to battery. Battey has small connector with CANH CANL and +12V. But GND is teid to the battery itself so you need to to attach our black GND crockodile wire to the BLACK wire of the battary pack.
But to boot the battery you will need to connect to second pair of BLACK and RED crockodile to the 12V power supply or small 12V car battery or LAB power supply and BMS will boot and respond to EVC Explorer commands.

Dont make mistake of connecting single BLACK crockodile near battery small connector to the RED wire of battery. 50 volts will instantly kill BMS and EVC EXplorer. No warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
